I have to admit that I’m pretty new as using my Kindle.

I just discovered something called Project Guttenberg that has a catalog of something like a million free books.


But their webpage is a little convoluted. I finally waded through all the text to find directions on how to get the books on my Kindle. So here you go:

1. This step you just have to do once. Open your Kindle web browser by doing the following:
   Press Home
   Press Menu
   Select Experimental
   Select Launch Browser
   Press Menu
   Select Enter URL

2. Enter this URL and press Enter:
   http://bit.ly/gutmagic

   (You probably already know that to enter colons and slashes you need to press Sym.)

3. Once you are at that URL, click on the link to download the Magic Catalog. This will put it on your home page.

4. Then search for a title by doing this:
   Press Home
   Press Menu
   Select Search
   Enter a title or author.
   Press Enter

   You’ll see for a result The Magic Catalog. Select it.

5. Now you’ll see results that looks something like this:

   Location 579 etc.

   Select that result.

6. Now you’ll be looking at a page of the catalog that lists book titles, hopefully with the one you just searched for. Go to the title and press Enter. This will download the book.
