So from my very brief tour of YouTube speed cubing videos, I’ve decided to try to learn the Fridrich method. This seems to be what most speed cubers use, including Feliks Zemdegs, the current world record-holder. Her method is also known as CFOP which stands for Cross, First two Layers, Orientation, and Permutation. More on that in future posts. So, ok I’ll admit it, when Rubik’s Cube first came out in the 80s, I was really into it. (When my mother told my husband that I used to grease my cube, he called me a nerd).
